 CAMUI GACKT (aka "Kamui Gakuto", dunno if that's his real
name. ^_- ) is the handsome vocalist of MALICE MIZER
recruited by guitarist MANA during October 1995, replace
their previous vocalist "TETSU". GACKT writes lyrics as well
as playing piano in the band. He has a smooth, soft and
romantic voice that "kills" little girl fans, as well as his
handsome "prince-charming" image. Usually Gackt was
portrayed as an vampire (early days), young 17th aristocrat
and the gorgeous prince-charming.
GACKT said his favorite singer is Yoshida Miwa (vocalist of
DREAMS COME TRUE), and his favorite actress is Sandra
Bullocks (-_____-;;;). His hobbies are "human waiting"
(what? waiting for people??), dating, and night driving.
GACKT starts to learn piano at the age of three. His
childhood dream was to be a wind instrument player,
however they hurt his teeth so he changed his dream to
become an Orchestra conductor. It was his father who
influenced him to play wind instrument, he thought his dad
was so cool when playing trumpet. THerefore he learned to
play trumpet, horn, as well as his favorite--piano. However,
when he first got involved with band activities, he played
drums.
 In concert, GACKT always dance along with Mana and Kozi (all
move in the same motion...very funny....^^;;). He's not a very good
dancer...I supposed...^^;; also he acts like the dancing partner of
Mana as well. Also he's a very 'cool' piano player ("cool" meaning
literary), he doesn't move so much, and sit with his legs crossed!

Some funny notable things: when they were still in indies (late 96)
They held a live called "Malice in Wonderland". Each member has
his own solo corner. While Kami and his roadies form a band
performing "The Yellow Monkey" songs, Yuki and Kozi played (in
seperate bands) English rock music, Mana played SM shows as
always..... Gackt and his four other friends performed Yoshida
Miwa's solos, Mr.Children (Gackt played drums here), Puffy, ...and
SMAP!! HAHAHAHA...... |
